CEI Boost Stakeholder Meeting
On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the Industrial Systems Institute of Athena Research Center successfully organized the 4th Stakeholder Meeting of the CEI Boost Interreg Europe project at the Patras Science Park facilities.
The meeting was attended by representatives from important bodies, such as the Region of Western Greece, the Decentralized Administration of Peloponnese, Western Greece and Ionian Islands, the University of Patras, the Aetolian Development Agency, the NSRF Staff Structure of the Ministry of Health, the Industrial Property Organization (OBI), the Computer Technology Institute and Press "Diofantos" as well as experts in the field of digital innovation and circular economy.
The meeting began with the greeting of Mr. Takis Papadopoulos, Deputy Regional Governor for Entrepreneurship, Research and Innovation of the Region of Western Greece, who highlighted the importance of innovation and cooperation for the promotion of the circular economy in the region, emphasizing the contribution of digital technologies to the development of sustainable practices.
Prof. Chrysostomos Stylios, Scientific Manager of the Project and ISI Director, presented the project focusing on its goals, prospects and progress to date, giving particular emphasis to the pilot action that has been proposed for Western Greece and focuses on Digital Solutions for Circular Agri-Food Systems.
This was followed by a presentation of good practices implemented in the cooperating European countries and the possibility of adapting them to Western Greece, and discussions on the strengthening of start-ups and the cooperation of businesses and research institutions for sustainable development.
The meeting concluded with a discussion on the next steps and the upcoming interregional meeting of the project in the city of Laval, France in March 2025 was announced, with the dynamic participation of representatives from the RWG, who will have the opportunity to discuss critical issues up close.
