On Monday, February 17, 2025, the Industrial Systems Institute of Athena Research Center held its annual New Year's cake cutting ceremony, in an event that celebrated the beginning of a new creative year. The event was attended by staff members of the Institute including administration, research and development staff, representatives of the Athena Research Center, collaborating faculty members, as well as representatives from organizations of the Region of Western Greece.

The event was honored by greetings of the President of Athena Research Center, Mr. Ioannis Emiris, Municipal councilor Mr. Nikos Aspragathos as representative of the Mayor of Patras, the Vice President of the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras, Mr. Efstratios Gallopoulos, the Director of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (FORTH/ICEMH), Mr. Theofilos Ioannidis, the Head of Smart Specialization Strategy of the Region of Western Greece, Mr. Lykourgos Stavroulopoulos and the Head of Information & Communications Systems Security (Y.A.S.P.E.) of the Decentralized Administration of Peloponnese, Western Greece and Ionian, Mr Stefanos Michos.

ISI Director, Prof. Chrysostomos Stylios, thanked the attendees and wished them a creative and successful year. In his brief report, he referred to the Institute's achievements over the past year, as well as to the actions that are already underway or planned for the future, emphasizing the Institute commitment to continuous development and contribution to science, research and innovation.
