The appointed new Deputy Minister for Development, Ms. Zoe Rapti, visited on Thursday, July 4, 2024, the Athena Research Center in Athens.

Deputy Minister Zoe Rapti was welcomed by the President of Athena, Professor Ioannis Emiris, along with Directors and Representatives from Athena's Institutes and Units. She toured the Athena facilities and had brief conversations with researchers and staff.

Following the tour, the Deputy Minister and her team were guided to the Archimedes Unit amphitheater, where Professor Ioannis Emiris gave an extensive overview of the Athena and its activities. Deputy Minister Zoe Rapti showed great interest in both the research work conducted at Athena and the challenges it faces.
