CV in Brief
Ageliki Tsioliaridou received her BSc and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. Her doctoral research addressed quality-of-service optimization in heterogeneous communication networks through advanced data transmission techniques. From 2014 to 2023, she held a postdoctoral position at the Institute of Computer Science (ICS), FORTH, where her work focused on system architecture design, protocol development, and performance optimization for emerging wireless and nano-scale communication paradigms. From 2023 to 2025, she worked as a researcher at the Technical University of Crete, participating in Horizon-funded projects focusing on energy-efficient data spaces, large-scale data analytics, and AI-enabled networking systems. She is currently a Researcher at the Industrial Systems Institute, Athena Research Center, working on European research projects in the area of advanced cybersecurity and secure networked infrastructures.
Her research interests include metasurface-enabled wireless communications, nanonetworks, and network scheduling, with an emphasis on system architecture, protocol development, and security mechanisms for future networked systems. She has authored 44 conference and workshop papers and 22 journal articles, is a co-inventor of a U.S. patent on programmable wireless environments, and received a Best Paper Award at ICT 2016. She also serves as a reviewer and technical committee member for leading IEEE and ACM conferences and journals.
