Dr. Artemios G. Voyiatzis

Dr. Artemios G. Voyiatzis holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Computer Science, and a second B.Sc. in Mathematics. He also holds an M.Sc. in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. He has participated in or led more than 20 R&D projects with the University of Crete, ICS/FORTH, the University of Patras, and ISI/ATHENA RC (all in Greece), as well as with SBA Research (Austria), primarily in networked systems security and cybersecurity. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Patras (Greece), TEI of Western Greece (Greece), the Open University of Cyprus (Cyprus), and TU Wien (Austria). He is the author or co-author of more than 70 peer-reviewed publications in international journals, conferences, and book chapters. In his career beyond academia, he has been involved in or initiated development projects and innovative actions, including large-scale LDAP-based SSO services, SAP ERP, data warehouses, and data migrations for public sector, banking, and social insurance organizations. He is a co-author of the Teradata Query Performance Tuning: DWHPro’s Guide book, co-organizer of Patras Tech Talk, and a Senior Member of both IEEE and ACM.
