Dr. Emil Valchinov

Emil Valchinov received his M.Sc. Degree in Electronics in 1997 from the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. During the period 1995-1997, he followed the European Postgraduate Course in Biomedical Engineering, organized by the Department of Medical Physics, University of Patras, Greece. He obtained his PhD Degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2004 from the University of Patras, Greece. His main scientific areas of interest are Embedded Systems, Biomedical Instrumentation, Medical Sensors, Electrical Safety of Medical Devices, Patient Safety, and Biomedical Engineering Education. He has participated in many National and European R&D projects and is an author of eighteen scientific publications in peer-reviewed journal and conference proceedings. Since 2005, he is teaching the «Electronics and Digital Signal Processing» course in the Biomedical Engineering MSc Program of the University of Patras.
