Dr. Maria Trigka

Dr Maria Trigka received her Diploma degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and, her Master and Ph.D. degrees in Signal Processing for Wireless Communications from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, University of Patras, Greece. Her general research interests span the scientific areas of statistical signal processing and learning focusing on estimation theory, adaptive/distributed signal processing and sparse representations. She is the author and co-author of publications in the area of Signal Processing, Wireless Communications and Machine Learning. As a PhD candidate, she served as a research scholar under the project “Strengthening Human Research Potential through Doctoral Research” co-financed by Greece - State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) and the European Union. Also, she has been involved in research projects co-financed by the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the call RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE that emphasized Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for developing health and cultural services for deaf people. Since February 2023, she has been a member of the Industrial Systems Institute of the ATHENA Research Center participating in EC-funded projects. Currently, Maria’s research interests delve into “Resources Management and Orchestration” through AI/ML algorithms for B5G and 6G networks.
