Alexis Andritsos holds a Master degree in Tourism, Territory and Local Development and a Bachelor degree in Science of Tourism and Local Communities, both from the University of Milano-Bicocca. His master’s thesis subject was about Tourism and Security while his bachelor’s thesis was about the Effects of the Financial Crisis in the Greek Tourism. During a traineeship in the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, in Ispra, Italy, he worked on a project on Water Management and Climate Change Adaptation in European Island Communities, where he was responsible for two case studies on two Greek islands, mapping the social actors and collecting their opinion and thoughts about water management on these islands and on how water management could become economically, environmentally and socially sustainable. On top of his native Greek and Italian languages, Alexis also speaks fluently English and French. Since June 2021, Alexis Andritsos works with ISI/ATHENA RC, in the frame of ESMARTCITY/MED EC financed program.
