Thanasis Tsakoulis is currently a PhD candidate at VLSI Design Lab in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Patras, Greece. His PhD thesis focuses on Scheduling task graphs in heterogeneous multicore processing systems on Cloud Computing. He received his bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Physics and his master’s degree (MSc) in Electronics & Communications (Radioelectrology) from the Department of Physics, University of Patras, Greece in 2013 and 2015 respectively. He has been a scholarship fellow of “Andreas Mentzelopoulos Scholarships for postgraduate studies at the University of Patras” during his master’s studies in 2014 and his PhD studies from 2017 to 2019. Thanasis’s work has been published on international conferences. His research interests among others include cryptography, computer architecture and scheduling algorithms on various multicore platforms. From January 2021, he is a collaborating researcher of Industrial System Institute / “ATHENA” Research Center.
