CEI BOOST Project 6th Transnational Partners’ Meeting in Madeira, Portugal
The Industrial Systems Institute, as a partner in the CEI Boost Interreg Europe project, is participating in the 6th transnational partners’ meeting of the project, which is taking place in Madeira, Portugal, under the theme:
“Digital solutions and emerging technologies for circular economy in island regions.”
With strong representation from the Region of Western Greece, Ms. Georgia Datsika, Deputy Regional Governor for Social Policy and Family, and Mr. Andreas Filias, Deputy Regional Governor for Rural Development, highlighted the importance of interregional cooperation and the active participation of the Region in European initiatives and projects.
During today’s meeting, a meaningful dialogue developed around the policy framework for the Circular Economy and Digital Transition in island regions, with an emphasis on the implementation of relevant policy instruments and the challenges that arise in the field of implementation.
At the same time, best practices were presented by stakeholders from Madeira in the fields of Circular Economy and emerging technologies, providing useful examples and valuable insights for the project partners.
The transnational meeting will conclude tomorrow with sessions dedicated to the exchange of good practices, the project’s pilot actions, as well as issues related to project management and communication.
