Dimitris Serpanos, newly elected chairman of the ARTEMIS Scientific Council participates in EFECS 2019
EFECS is the international forum with a focus on "Our Digital Future" along the Electronic Components and Systems value chain in Europe. The event coorganized by AENEAS, ARTEMIS-IA, EPoSS, ECSEL Joint Undertaking and the European Commission, in association with EUREKA, brings all stakeholders together in Helsinki, Finland on 19-21 November 2019.
The Industrial Systems Institute is actively involved in EFECS through its Director Professor Dimitris Serpanos who is the elected chairman of the ARTEMIS Scientific Council. ECSEL, the European Joint Undertaking on Electronic Components and Systems for European Leadership, represents a public private partnership funding innovation in electronic components and systems, and bringing together the European Commission and participating states with industry and initiatives like AENEAS, ARTEMIS-IA and EPoSS. Its Strategic Research Agenda defining the major areas of research for Electronic Components and Systems is recently revised, contributing to the effort of a digital Europe.
Professor Serpanos is a panelist of the workshop panel “Broadened Scope” presenting major challenges in reference to software technologies for emerging embedded and cyberphysical systems.
