ISI Coordinated CPSoSaware project Kick off Meeting in Athens
A successful kick off meeting of the Horizon2020 CPSoSaware project on February 10-11, 2020 at the premises of the Research and Innovation Center "Athena" in Athens, Greece. The project is coordinated by the Industrial Systems Institute and aims at dealing with design challenges of dependable connected CyberPhysical Systems in order to meet stringent demands on reduction of emissions, efficient use of resources, high service and product quality levels, and low cost and competitiveness in the world market. The CPSoSaware solution will rely on Artificial Intelligence support in order to strengthen reliability, fault tolerance and security at system level, while leading to CPS designs that work in a decentralized way, collaboratively, in an equilibrium, by sharing tasks and data with minimal central intervention. In will enable interaction with the human users/operators through extended reality visual and touchable interfaces increasing situational awareness. Its holistic and innovative approach will be evaluated in the automotive sector and the manufacturing industry, while it is expected to have a profound impact in a large number of technology sectors. The project has a budget of 5 million Euros and a duration of 3 years.
