TransCPEarlyWarning Civil Protection Table Top Exercise
The Industrial Systems Institute participated in the Civil Protection Table Top exercise organized by the Municipality of Rethymno on January 31, 2023. During the exercise the Civil Protection Early Warning platform developed by the Institute team in the context of TransCPEarlyWarning was used enabling the digitalization of the Early Warning process, and tested in the usecase of forest fire.
On the same day a Capacity Building session was organized collecting feedback for the evaluation of the platform produced by the project and discussing on its extension and sustainability.
The pilot was attended by 51 persons coming from the Municipality of Rethymno, the Municipal Company of Water Supply and Sewerage of Rethymno, the Municipality of Athens, the Municipality of Mylopotamos, the Municipality of Amari, the Municipality of Anogeia, the Municipality of Agios Vasileios, the Decentralized Administration of Crete, the Fire Service, the Police, the Forestry Direction of Rethymno of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, 13 local communities, the Greek Red Cross, the Volunteer Organization “ENA”, the Scouts of West Crete, and the Industrial Systems Institute.
