The Deputy Minister of Development Mr Maximos Senetakis visited the Industrial Systems Institute on April 19, 2024. Mr Senetakis had the chance to discuss with the Director of the Industrial Systems Institute Professor Chrysostomos Stylios, the head of the ARCHIMEDES Unit of Athena Research Center Professor Timos Sellis, and the staff of the Industrial Systems Institute.

The visit provided a good opportunity to present the work of the Institute in enabling technologies of the Industry 4.0 transition, as well as some of its research results in the fields of Flexible Manufacturing Systems, Digital Twins and Autonomous Vehicles.

Discussion was also made on the progress of the new building of the Institute that will be built under the technical supervision of the Region of Western Greece with funding from the Greece 2.0 Recovery and Resilience Facility.
