Dr. Gerasimos Arvanitis

Gerasimos Arvanitis received the Diploma degree in electrical & computer engineering Department from the University of Patras (2009), the M.Sc. degree in electronics and information processing from the University of Patras (2011), and the PhD degree (entitled as “Spectral Processing and Optimization of Static and Dynamic 3D Geometries”) in electrical & computer engineering Department from the University of Patras (2021). From 2011 to 2015, he worked as a software programmer at the Computer Technology Institute in Patras, Greece. He is currently a member of the Visualization and Virtual Reality Group at the University of Patras since January 2016. As of July 2024 he is also a member of the Industrial Systems Institute of Athena Research Center. He has participated in 7 European and in 3 national projects and he acts as a regular reviewer for several technical journals and conferences. He has authored or co-authored over 60 papers in refereed journals, edited books, and international conferences. His main research interests include digital geometry processing, signal processing and spectral analysis, 3D modelling, reconstruction, compression, outliers removal, feature-preserving denoising algorithms, and computer graphics.
