Dr. Marios Tyrovolas

Marios Tyrovolas received his Diploma (5-year) degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, Greece, in 2020, and his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Ioannina, Greece, in 2025. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Knowledge & Intelligent Computing (KIC) Laboratory, University of Ioannina, and a Collaborating Researcher with the Industrial Systems Institute, Athena Research Center, Patras, Greece, and with the Computer Technology Institute and Press “DIOPHANTUS”. In 2024, he was a visiting researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Oceanography Group, Division of Frontier Research, Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory in Zhuhai, China. His current research interests include Fuzzy Cognitive Maps, Causal and Explainable Artificial Intelligence, Modeling and Analysis of Complex Systems, Soft Computing, Large Language Models for Causal Inference and Model Interpretability, Intelligent Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 applications.
