Dr. Panagiotis Petroutsos

Panagiotis Petroutsos earned his integrated master’s degree and PhD from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Patras, Greece, in 2019 and 2025, respectively. His PhD thesis focuses on gap waveguide design, technology, periodic structures, and higher-order symmetries in mmWave antennas for next-generation communication systems. His scientific research interests include antenna design, mmWave RF design, electromagnetism, and integrated circuits. He is actively working on signal processing for beamforming techniques and the development of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Software-Defined Radio (SDR). Additionally, he conducts research on ISAC technologies that support autonomous navigation, remote sensing, and real-time communication in UAV swarm environments. So far, he has participated in various European research projects. In the current year, he also works as a research associate at the Research and Innovation Center “Athena”.
