Ioannis Kefaloukos is a Research Associate at the Industrial Systems Institute of ATHENA Research and Innovation Center in Greece. He also holds a role as a Senior Research Associate at the R&D laboratory Pasiphae Lab of the Hellenic Mediterranean University. He holds a M.Sc in Informatics Engineering from the Hellenic Mediterranean University. Ioannis has been actively engaged in various H2020 and HUE projects since 2019, notably serving as the Deputy Project Lead and Technical Work Package lead for EU-funded projects such as FORTIKA, SPHINX, SHAPES, 5D-AeroSafe, PQ-REACT, COBALT, and CYBERUNITY. His expertise lies in tackling crucial aspects of cybersecurity such as authentication, authorization, zero-day vulnerability detection, and cryptographic and zero-trust systems, thus his research is mainly focused on network and system security within critical infrastructures, IoT, SDN/NFV and emergency communications
