Mr. Vasilis Bekos

Vasilis Bekos, holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, an MSc in the field of Computer Science and Technology and he is a PhD Candidate in Computer Science and Technology. He is currently a Software Engineer and Administrator of the central infrastructure of users' authentication and authorization at the University of Patras and a Collaborating Researcher/Software Engineer at the I.S.I. - Industrial Systems Institute, ATHENA R.C. in Patras, Greece. Before his cooperation with the University of Patras and I.S.I. he was a Software Engineer for Open Source software at the Research and Academic Computer Technology Institute and Press "Diophantus", a Software Engineer at the Centre of Information Technology Support of the Hellenic Army in Athens, Greece, and has been involved in the development of numerous web applications, web services, and information systems. His academic interests include Bioinformatics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Semantic Web, Blockchain, Big Data processing, Microservices architecture, and Cloud development.
