Ms. Alexandra Bekou

Alexandra Bekou holds a BSc degree in Biology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has a strong background in developmental biology and bioinformatics. She has conducted biomedical research in the field of biomimetic disease modeling technology, developing neuromesodermal organoids derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs). Currently, she is a research associate at the ATHENA/ISI Research Institute, where she focuses on deep neural network optimization through evolutionary algorithms in the context of cybersecurity. Her research interests include deep learning, bio-inspired optimization algorithms, network analysis and computational biology.
