Pharos: Pharos: The Greek AI Factory for accelerating AI innovation

Pharos aims to establish an EU AI Factory in Greece, strategically leveraging the pre-exascale supercomputer “Daedalus” to accelerate AI innovation. This initiative aims to democratize AI by providing resources and tools accessible to various end-users, focusing on startups and SMEs. A strong emphasis on trustworthy AI development ensures that Pharos haprioritizes data privacy, security, and ethical considerations throughout the entire AI lifecycle. Furthermore, as an EU AI Factory that will be part of a wider network, Pharos will establish concrete networking and collaboration avenues with other EU initiatives (EDIHs, Data Spaces, NCCs, DeployAI, other AI Factories), contributing to a cross-border AI innovation ecosystem. ISI/ATHENA is responsible for the deployment of the cybersecurity services and machine learning security operations (MLSecOps) of the AI factory.
